1983
Melbourne's first
TCM clinic
Bao An Tang was the first Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in Melbourne's Chinatown, founded in 1983 by Dr Chan Hoa Duong. In 1993 the clinic relocated to its home on the corner of Victoria Street and Albert Street, Abbotsford. Today it is led by Dr Kevin Duong — the founder's son — continuing four decades of family-inherited practice and the same commitment to the herbs, the craft, and the people who walk through the door.
